In the 1800 hundreds the nation went into a spilt which was know as imperialism. European nations wanted the land with raw material for industrial material for the industrial economies. Opened up markets for people who needed good and such. Another thing that played in this imperialism was racism the Europeans thought they were better then Africans. So back then the christen missionaries went with the idea of racism because they thought it would end slave trade and they want to convert the native people. So then they decided to use technology and steam engine but they also had contact with the home countries. The discovery of quinine allowed the doctor to cure Europeans of malaria and had the lack of help from the African people. If i were to see this threw a europeains eyes i would have probitiy thought it was right but to look at it threw my eyes today it would be wrong. As for forceing there rules on to the other countries they used bombs to scare the people into were they would listing to who ever was in charge of the imperialism. there were beating or exocutied, the feel last for ur lifetime.
